Draughts

Draughts (checkers) with international rules, on an 8 × 8 or 10 × 10 board: against the computer (novice, normal or hard) or two players. With a gamepad you pick a piece with A and take it to its square; the visual aids mark in red the pieces that can move and in light blue where they can go. Flat or 3D board, in neon colors.

Turn your phone sideways to play bigger.

No gamepad: connect it and press a button so the browser detects it.

Controls

  • Gamepad: the d-pad or stick moves the cursor; A picks the piece and A again drops it on the square (when capturing several, one square per jump); B releases it; X undoes; Y turns the aids on or off; Select switches between 2D and 3D; Start opens the menu. The gamepad vibrates every time a piece lands on the board.
  • Keyboard: arrows or WASD move the cursor; Space or Enter pick and move; Backspace releases the piece; Z undoes; H aids; V view; Esc menu; F full screen.
  • Mouse or touch screen: tap the piece, then the square. The panel buttons undo, switch aids and view, and open the menu.
  • Visual aids: a red halo under the pieces that can move and a light blue drop on the squares the chosen piece can go to.
  • International rules: men move diagonally and capture forwards and backwards; capturing is mandatory, with the move that captures the most pieces; kings fly along the diagonal. Whoever can't move loses; it's a draw if the same position occurs three times or after 25 moves each with kings only.
