Games

My first experience as a university lecturer was teaching Technology and Business, Web Development, and Video Game Design. The first two matched my degree, but game development didn’t. I simply took on the challenge and taught, as best I could, how to build a Pong with nothing but HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Not only did I learn, but I still develop simple video games, and I have occasionally created several promotional games for advertising and marketing companies.

These are simple video games built with the Phaser library, playable with keyboard, gamepad or touchscreen. On gamepads that support it, some games include vibration.

  • Paddle

A paddle game for one or two players: return the ball and reach 7 points first. The gamepad vibrates on every hit.

  • BeeMaze

Guide the bee through the maze and collect every flower without getting caught by the mini drones. With a broom in hand, you knock them down.

  • Halcones de Metal

Fly upriver across 16 bridges: the river narrows, fuel runs out and boats, drones, balloons, jets, helicopters and jeeps get in your way. Catch the motorbike on the bridge for 2,000 points.

  • Tic-tac-toe

The classic, against the computer (easy, normal or hard) or two players. Players take turns starting.

  • Memory Game

Playing cards on green felt: find the pairs of the same value and color. Five magic levels, from 8 to 24 cards, with a blitz, rapid or untimed clock, and 50/50 and "peek" jokers.

  • Tower of Hanoi

The tower puzzle in glass and acrylic: move 3 to 8 discs to the golden rod in as few moves as possible, against a stopwatch or a countdown.

  • Zombie Invaders

They march down in formation, throw rocks and swing sticks: hold back the horde from your barricade across five stages and catch the crates that upgrade your weapon. Between stages, a comic tells the story.

More games are coming.
