Air Strike

A vertical plane shooter, solo or two players on the same screen, across five stages (Water, Desert, City, Forest and Ice), each with its boss. Pick one of six planes (Pillán, Gripen, Harrier, Typhoon, Sukhoi and Tomcat): each fires its own way. Your gun hits everything; missiles seek what flies and bombs fall on what moves on land and water. With a gamepad, it vibrates when you fire, when you shoot something down and when you’re hit.

Controls and rules

  • Gamepad: left stick or D-pad move the plane; A, X, RB or RT fire (hold them); B, Y, LB or LT drop a bomb; Start pauses.
  • Keyboard (click the game first): arrows or WASD move; Space, J or Z fire; X, K or Shift drop a bomb; Esc or P pause. F: full screen.
  • Touchscreen: the plane follows your finger (a little above it, so you can see it) and fires on its own; the BOMB button, bottom right, drops a bomb.
  • Each plane’s own gun hits everything. Missiles launch on their own while you fire, always in pairs, when something is in the air, and only seek flying targets (drones, planes, helicopters). Bombs land where the sight marks, ahead of the plane, and only damage what moves on land and water (boats, ships, jet skis, tanks, jeeps, motorbikes and bazooka soldiers). Against land and water bosses, use your gun and bombs; against air bosses, your gun and missiles.
  • Items: P upgrades your gun and M your missiles (four levels; at the top they give points), E refills energy and the medal gives points. A squadron shot down in full drops an item; ships drop energy; motorbikes and jet skis, medals. In the city, cars are just traffic, except the red one: shoot it and it drops a medal.
  • Lives: 3 for one plane or 5 shared by two. Every hit takes energy; out of energy, the plane goes down and, if lives remain, comes right back with full energy and one level less of gun and missiles. Beating the boss refills everyone’s energy, and each plane with more than half adds a life.
  • Two players: on the plane select screen, press A on another gamepad (or the keyboard) and pick. Lives are shared; if they run out, the one who goes down waits and returns at the next stage if the boss gives a life. If both go down with no lives left, you can continue the stage from zero points. The menu lets you resume from the highest stage reached.
